If you haven’t watched or read Paddle-to-the-Sea, it is a must for you and your children. Well worth it. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1966 National Film Board of Canada movie, directed by Bill Mason. The film was nominated for an Oscar that year. It’s based on the 1941 book by Holling Clancy Holling, which makes this year the books 75th anniversary. You can watch the film here on YouTube. By the way, if you own a 1941 First edition of Paddle-to-the-Sea, hang on to it. They’ve become quite valuable.
